Online Somatic Therapy in California

Integrate Your Story. Transform Your Life.

Somatic Therapy bridges the gap between your mind and body, helping you process trauma not just by talking about it, but by feeling it in my body and transforming it.

In somatic therapy sessions, we explore how your past experiences live on in your body today—and how, through embodied awareness, you can create deep, lasting change.

Mind + Body = A holistic path to healing

Somatic Therapy brings together your thoughts, feelings, and bodily experiences.

We work with your story and your body’s signals side by side to help you:

  • Understand the ways trauma has shaped your daily patterns and responses

  • Build a new literacy of your body, learning to notice and name what’s been held inside for years

  • Reprocess old trauma and bring your nervous system up to date with your life today

  • Explore and shift pre-programmed responses that might be keeping you stuck

This is an integrative, reflective process that helps you feel more at home in your body and your life.

Your journey starts with a 90-minute intake appointment where we’ll explore your history and your current needs. After that, regular sessions are 50 minutes.

Why Choose Somatic Therapy?

A silhouetted figure stands embracing the dawn, symbolizing release from feeling overwhelmed and connecting with the autonomic nervous system.

Many try, but in the end, it’s just not possible to think our way out of anxiety and overwhelm or through life’s big transitions. Talk therapy can be incredibly valuable, but sometimes your body holds onto patterns and pain that words alone can’t reach.

Somatic Therapy helps you:

  • Make connections between your thoughts, feelings, and body

  • Understand and shift nervous system patterns like chronic tension, fight/flight/freeze, or emotional numbness

  • Build deeper self-awareness and self-compassion through embodied exploration

  • Experience new ways of being—grounded, present, and capable of meeting life’s challenges with more ease

What is a Somatic Therapy Session Like?

Each session is a collaborative exploration. We move through three phases at your pace, weaving together reflection, dialogue, and body awareness.

Phase 1: Intake and history taking

Phase 2: Stabilization. We’ll talk about what tools you’re already using and learn and practice tools to further develop your somatic practice. This phase gives you the foundation you need in order to dive deeper into processing trauma and chronic stress.

Phase 3: Processing. Here you’ll notice and report about how your body is processing trauma so that we can titrate your exposure to feeling stress and trauma in smaller amounts, so it won’t cause more stress.

In our first few sessions, we’ll look at how you’re currently function:

  • How much water do you drink?

  • How much sleep do you get?

  • What is your current level of movement?

  • What is your home environment and daily routine like?

Depending on your answers, we may start by creating space, nourishment, and moment in your daily life to support your nervous system’s regulation.

Once we’ve covered the basics, here’s what a session of Somatic Therapy or Somatic Experiencing might look like:

  • We begin by exploring what’s present for you—emotionally, mentally, and physically.

  • I’ll help you link your experiences to what’s happening in your body, deepening your awareness and understanding.

  • You might be invited to notice subtle sensations, hold space for emotions, or explore how your body is reacting to a memory or a current situation.

  • Together, we’ll identify stuck patterns and gently experiment with new ways of responding—helping your system update and move toward greater regulation.

  • Over time, you’ll develop tools to reconnect with your body’s wisdom and bring that into your daily life.

This is not about fixing or forcing. It’s about meeting yourself more fully—and transforming from the inside out.
