Somatic Experiencing is a body-first approach to trauma healing. Unlike talk therapy, which starts with your story, Somatic Experiencing begins with your physiology—your body’s natural responses to stress, threat, and safety.
We’ll work through personalized somatic healing techniques, track your body's responses, and guide your nervous system toward natural balance and wellbeing.
Your journey starts with a 90-minute intake appointment. This extended time allows us to thoroughly explore your unique needs and create a personalized healing pathway. After that, standard sessions are 50 minutes.

Somatic Experiencing offers a different path to healing. This approach helps you gently unwind the effects of stress and trauma at their root—within your nervous system.
With Somatic Experiencing, you’ll begin to:

What is a Somatic Experiencing session like?
Somatic Experiencing is a gentle, collaborative process. Sessions don’t follow a strict script. Together, we’ll follow your body’s cues.
In our first few sessions, we’ll look at how you’re currently function:
How much water do you drink?
How much sleep do you get?
What is your current level of movement?
What is your home environment and daily routine like?
Depending on your answers, we may start by creating space, nourishment, and moment in your daily life to support your nervous system’s regulation.
Once we’ve covered the basics, here’s what a session of Somatic Experiencing or Somatic Therapy might look like:
We begin by checking in, noticing how you’re arriving in your body, what’s present emotionally or physically, and what you’d like support with.
We take time to notice the sensations in your body. Do you feel tightness, warmth, movement, or stillness? These sensations will help guide our session.
You might be invited to try small, simple movements, notice your breath, or use sound or touch to support your nervous system.
We follow your body’s rhythm, never pushing, always pausing when needed. That’s how healing becomes possible.
Over time, we’ll build resources, practices, and tools that help your body feel safer, more grounded, and more resilient.
Eventually, you’ll start to recognize these states of regulation on your own and bring those tools into your everyday life.
You don’t need to be good at feeling your body or doing things "right." You just need to be curious and open. I’ll guide you every step of the way.
